The first step in any relationship is getting to know each other. We’ll meet either in person, by phone, or via Zoom. Our discussion will cover a broad range of topics as you let us know your current concerns and what you’d like to see for yourself in the future. Typically, this meeting could last between one to two hours.
The next step is obtaining information to create your personalized financial plan as well as finding the accounts we will be managing for you. This will include completing worksheets and gathering data. Don’t worry, it’ll all be worthwhile when you see your financial plan that we created together. The best way to find out how to get somewhere, is to know where you are now.
Once your data has been reviewed and we collaborate in creating your personalized financial plan, we’ll start the process of setting up your accounts so that your journey can start right away. Paperwork will be generated for your review and signature, most of which should be able to be electronically signed. We’ll do our best to make the experience as painless as possible. Also, don’t be afraid to ask questions. Part of our job is to educate so that you feel comfortable with your plan and how we’re managing your portfolio in line with that plan.
After the initial transition to our management has been completed, we will monitor your portfolio and continue to communicate with you. Ongoing monitoring and rebalancing will help to keep us on track with your plan and continue the forward momentum toward your goals. Throughout our relationship, we encourage you to reach out with any questions you may have. We highly recommend a review meeting at least once a year so that we can update any changes that may have occurred since our last meeting. Don’t hesitate to contact us in between meetings, too. We can change how frequently we meet, too.
Remember, a financial plan is a fluid thing. Life has a way of changing and we will adapt your plan accordingly.
